The cover of issue 30 was a photograph by Michael Laukeninks. Using infrared 950nm, he captured a phoenix formed from the clouds just seconds before the wind blew it away. The Phoenix theme of this issue embodies bonds, changes, destruction, emancipation and many other things. The contributing artists for this issue all give their take on what the Phoenix means to them. One artist shares her story of how being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the prime of her life caused her to be reborn. Jozi interviews Sandi Holloway who talks about the rebirth she underwent to start the Holloway Youth Project out of the ashes of City at Peace DC. Check out Yukiko and Eleanor's photographs as both incorporated fire into their pieces. Atiba sat with Mark Feldman who started BANG! The Drum School after leaving his corporate job. Allison spoke with Anna Barsan who was traveling throughout Colombia to capture its metamorphosis around the LBGTQ community. Issue 30's CONTRIBUTING ARTISTS: Sophia Allison / T Cleo Austin / Eleanor Bennett / Suhaly Bautista / R. Eustice Curring / Atiba T. Edwards / Allison Maritza Lasky / Michael Laukeninks / Jennifer Autumn McBride / Erick Michael / Sophia Nahli / Ariel Polonsky / Mariama Rafetna / Erin Rompin / Cliff Roth / Yukiko Staddon / Lisa Wang / Stephanie Winbush / Jozi Zwerdling

Issue 29's cover is a piece titled "(untitled) rememories #4" that was designed by Sonia Louise Daves. The theme of this issue was community, how community and the individual interacts and the role a community plays in your life. We interviewed Dennis Manarchy and Chad Tepley about their Vanishing Cultures project which captures vanishing communities across the U.S. using a 35-foot long camera. Rebecca Simon, an emerging visual artist, shares her paintings which are metaphors of cultural identity. We also examine the larger community - the animal kingdom - and our place in it. Mr. Bee, the head barber at Frank's Chop Shop, sheds light on why the barbershop plays such a pivotal role in the community and discusses how the Lower East Side has changed over the past decade. We are also excited to give you a chance to hear the sounds of Mike De LaRocha and SoSoon as they provide a solid soundtrack for the community. Contributing Artists: Chukwuma Agubokwu / ANG / Sonia Louise Daves / Mike De La Rocha / Sophia Domeville / dreXeL / Atiba T. Edwards / Patrick Jöst / Allison Maritza Lasky / Dennis Manarchy / Katie Mazikins / Andrew Milenius / Sophia Nahli / Nelson Santiago / SoSoon / Jonathan B. Wax Poetics' Andre Torres made the go-ahead decision on Wax Poetics magazine after reflecting on the events of 9/11.
INSIGHT Issue 27 is filled with artists who tell personal stories and endeavors done through the arts. Every artistis journey runs into the fork in the road when we stop and ask 'what are we doing?' and 'can I make a living on art?' Syma talks about monetizing her art. Jenny Buccos and ProjectExplorer sat down with us to talk about how they were using video as an educational tool before YouTube and other technology rose to prominence. Eleanor Bennett is a 15 year old photo prodigy and her work must be seen to get a glimpse of the talent and the impact of art on her life. James Edwin, Al Janae Hamilton, Priz and Robert Daniels all channel their youth, travels, experiences and visions onto canvas and through the camera lens.

INSIGHT Issue 25 kicks off the year with a good range of art. Our cover artist, Peter Ciccariello, provides a great trip for you to see how form leads to the birth of ideas. We also had the chance to sit down with the ladies of Yestadt Millinery to see how they are bringing back the millinery industry with their stylish hats. Jared Williams sits with Allison Lasky to share how getting his parents' Polaroid camera helped him tap back into his love for photography over New Year's Eve. RoByn, Michael Rosen and Simone Grant wax poetic for your pleasure.
Read the pages of INSIGHT to take a trip to Iceland with Arnthor as your guide. Have you ever visited a room and felt the energy still lingering? Amina Hassen captures this energy in several moving images from Ohio. We have an exciting array of art from Brian Dupont, Spring Hofeldt, Bud Ramsay, Spazecraft, Steve Riley and Peter Ciccariello. Imagine seeing a child in a natural setting full of energy and exploration. Now what if you can capture the baby's first creation. See Allison's capture of this exact momemnt.

INSIGHT Issue 24 Issue 4 is bursting at its virtual seams with art of all fare -starting with Jessica Stoller's amazing cover and art work which explores idealized femininity. Photographers in this issue give you glimpses into another world that is near yet miles away: Tessa Hirschfeld-Stoler and NYC's walls of color; Ana María Agüero Jahannes and regal women of color; and Jolie Clifford and the narrative for getting lost and Jamie Killen and Colombia in a photo essay. Juxtaposition of art, process and aftermath are all evident through T.Cleo.Austin's painting spread; Vineeth Thomas' feature on Shawn Hollenbach and Lavelle Everett's painting on the child soldiers. Ward Yoshimoto uses math and the grid format to have a conversation with you. Steve Riley paints the burden that society puts on the nude human body. Nate Vanderveen and Andrew Folster provide poetic balance to it all. Allison Maritza Lasky gives you glimpses of Ohio's US-24 moving by at full speed. Atiba T. Edward's gives the soundtrack to a recluse's hunt for national treasure.
